Exe Squared at GITEX Europe: Our IONOS Partnership in Action
Last month, Exe Squared exhibited at GITEX Europe in partnership with IONOS, our hosting and cloud infrastructure partner. It was our first major European tech event, and — condensed interview notwithstanding — it was a brilliant experience.
The IONOS Partnership
We’ve been working with IONOS for several years now, using their infrastructure to host many of our client applications. When they invited us to exhibit alongside them at GITEX Europe, we jumped at the chance. The event brought together technology companies from across Europe, and being represented alongside a major cloud provider gave us visibility we wouldn’t normally have as a small Devon-based company.
As part of the exhibition, IONOS filmed short interviews with their partners. I was given approximately 10 seconds to explain what Exe Squared does, how we simplify business operations, and how we leverage the IONOS partnership. If you know me, you’ll know that brevity isn’t my strongest suit — as I noted on LinkedIn afterwards, they only gave me 10 seconds and “I am not known for being brief!”
What We Showed
Our stand featured the Ad-MOTO electric advertising scooters alongside demonstrations of our software platforms. It was a useful reminder of how well physical hardware and digital software complement each other. Visitors could see the actual bikes, then step behind the screen and see the fleet management, campaign analytics, and audience measurement platforms we’d built to operate them.
We also demonstrated our CRM platform and talked to a number of businesses about custom software development. The conversations at events like GITEX are qualitatively different from inbound enquiries — people have specific problems they’re trying to solve, and they want to talk to the people who’d actually build the solution. That’s something our size works in our favour: at Exe Squared, the person on the stand is the same person who’ll be leading the technical architecture.
Takeaways
The event reinforced two things for us. First, that there’s significant demand for bespoke software development from companies that have outgrown off-the-shelf solutions but don’t have the internal team to build custom platforms. Second, that our IONOS partnership gives us a credible infrastructure story — clients want to know that their applications are hosted on reliable, European-based infrastructure, and IONOS delivers that.
We’re looking forward to more events in 2026. If you’re attending any of the upcoming tech conferences and want to meet in person, get in touch.
